VANISHING POINT To Resume Recording New CD
February 24, 2003Australian progressive metal band VANISHING POINT have taken a break from the recording sessions for their third album and plan to re-enter Palm Studios in Melbourne next month with producer Endel Rivers to complete the effort for a late spring/early summer release.
"In January, [drummer] Jack [Lukic], [guitarist] Tom [Vucur] and myself recorded the drums and guitars," writes guitarist Chris Porcianko on the band's official web site. "The result has come out great and we just have to go back in there and fix a couple of things up when the rest of the guys are done. Words escape me as I try to describe so far what has been recorded, the songs have that typical VANISHING POINT character to them, yet they have a bit more balls this time. The slower songs sound really cool and we have indications what the songs titled 'Embraced' and 'Somebody Save Me' will sound like because Leonard has recorded the keyboards for those tracks and they sound huge. I think that most of you will enjoy it and hopefully we will be able to have the album out as soon as things get done."
Among the song titles set to appear on the upcoming CD are the following:
01. If Only I
02. Reason
03. My Virtue
04. Hollow
05. Season Of Sundays
06. Breathing
07. Reflection
08. Embraced
09. A Life Less
10. Somebody Save Me
